Sport Horses of Crickhollow

My personal tagline is Xenophon quoting Simon. Words to live (train) by, especially for those who think that they can take short-cuts in training horses in the art of dressage. You can't. As soon as you try, you are not practicing an art, you are creating a gross mimicry of it.

Getting off my soapbox for the moment... 

 This blog is where I'll be talking about my horse(s). Crickhollow is a ten acre farm in sourthern MN, the "stable" of which currently consists of my Arabian stallion Merry (bred by Kay Wimberly of Sandstone Ridge Arabians), his companion pony Gimli, my rescue Arabian gelding Yahzahrs Psyche, veteran Welsh (sec. B) broodmare Las Brisas Annie Laurie, her daughter Trevethan Lady Morgana, and my two year-old sec B Welsh pony mare Trevethan Myfanwy. 

I'm interested in breeding both highly athletic purebred Arabians and Arabian/Warmblood crosses (I'm particularily interested in Trakehners at the moment) and sport ponies. My ultimate goal is to produce horses that are capable of participating in the Olympic disciplines in *open classes* at varying levels. I would love to help steer the Arabian community towards once again breeding *and training* animals that are worthy of respect from the horse community as a whole, but I'll settle for producing a few good animals and winning over a small segment of my local horse community.
