Just a quick little update on Morgana here -- no photos this time, sorry.
Morgana has been learning to lead. She's doing pretty well & only occasionally needs the butt rope to get her going now. She picks up her feet, though can't always figure out that to stay balanced, she has to stand still. We're working on the clipper (my high-pitched, buzzy Wahl pocket clipper), but she doesn't care for that much yet. She's very good about bug spray & stands still for that, though.
Soon, she's going to be grown out of her leather wee baby halter & have to move up to the pink nylon suckling one. She's a big girl, but her head is very delicate -- I think it's going to be very Araby and pretty as she gets older. It's got that nice wedge-shape, deep in the jowls and fine in the muzzle, but short overall. It's a pain to get well-fitting bridles & halters for, but there's nothing prettier.
She's very sweet & friendly and has been charming all of her visitors. I could be weaning her soon, but Annie's weight is looking good and the vet suggested leaving them together for the winter so as not to stress them as it's getting cold here, since she was a late baby. I'm trying to get everything setup so that Myf can join them for the winter -- you can see Myf & Morgana together in previous posts. They get on well, and it's good for them to have a playmate. Keeps Myf from being lonely and gets Morgana some herd-skills. They've recently discovered that they're sized well to give each other good scratches -- I just hope Myf's finally regrown mane doesn't get ruined in their enthusiasm.
I tried uploading a short avi video of the squirt being cute last night, but VOX doesn't want to take it (despite it being under the size limit and one of the listed file types). I can offer a couple of photos:
In other news, Morgana's papers arrived. She is officially Trevethan Lady Morgana in the Sec B Welsh books now.
